Request a quote

Request a Quote for Custom Ceramic Components

Upload a 2D drawing or 3D model. Send the material, the quantities and the dimensions that matter, and the engineering review comes back before any price is quoted.

Engineering feedback within 2 business hours. Files: PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, STP, IGES. One evaluation part upwards. Send it by email instead if you prefer – the address is in the footer.

Upload your drawing

Add the drawing and list the critical tolerances. We review the drawing against the requirement before quoting.

PDF, STEP, STP, IGES, DWG, DXF, STL, ZIP or an Office document – up to 10 MB per file.

What the part has to do, and where it sits. Enough to point at a material and a process route.

The condition that usually decides the grade: temperature, medium, load, speed or duty cycle.

Rough sizes are enough at this stage; the drawing comes later.

Required unless you attach a drawing. Two lines about the application, the operating conditions and the dimensions that matter are enough.

No account is required. Files are handled as confidential; an NDA is signed on request before anything is transferred.

    What to send

The information that produces an accurate quotation

A part name and a quantity is not enough to quote a custom ceramic component. These are the inputs that matter, in order of importance.

Inputs for a quotation and why each matters
    InputWhy it changes the answer
Drawing or 3D modelGeometry, tolerances and datums; the basis of the route
Material, or the operating conditionsDecides the process route and the achievable tolerance
Quantities by stagePrototype, pilot and production are routed and priced differently
Critical dimensionsDrives the inspection plan and the cycle time
Surface finish requirementAdds lapping or polishing steps where needed
Application and environmentTemperature, load, medium and cleanliness
Documentation requiredMaterial certificate, dimensional report or FAI

A custom ceramic part is priced from the drawing and the process route it forces, not from a catalogue figure. The drivers are how slowly the chosen material grinds, the tolerance and surface finish called out on each individual feature, the quantity at each stage, and the inspection and documentation set required. Two quotations for the same outline usually differ because of the surface rather than the shape. The review that precedes the quotation confirms what is achievable on that drawing revision, and the route the price is built on is stated with the quotation.

ENGINEERING NOTEIf the design is not finished, send it anyway with the open points marked. A review on an incomplete drawing costs less than a rejected part.

    Files accepted

Upload the drawing or model directly with the form. If the file type you have is not listed, describe the part in the message field instead.

    2D drawings

PDF and DWG are preferred, because tolerances and surface finish callouts have to be readable.

    3D models

STEP, STP and IGES. A model carries geometry but not tolerances, so send the drawing as well when you have one.

    Two-dimensional exchange

DXF is accepted for profile work. State the units and the scale explicitly.

    From upload to quotation

The same route applies to every enquiry, whether it is one evaluation part or a production enquiry.

    Files received and logged
Files are treated as confidential on arrival. An NDA is signed on request before transfer if you prefer.
    Engineering review
Material, geometry, tolerance stack and inspection method are reviewed together. Initial feedback within 2 business hours.
    Questions, if any
Where a feature or a callout has to change, the reason and a feasible alternative are stated before a price is given.
    Quotation issued
Price, lead time, inspection plan and documentation set for the revision quoted.
    Order and first article
On order, the drawing revision is frozen and first article inspection is planned where requested.

    How drawings are handled

Drawings and models remain the customer’s property and are used only to manufacture the order.

    • Files are treated as confidential on arrival
    • An NDA is signed on request before files are transferred
    • Designs are not shared with third parties
    • No customer name, drawing or application appears on this site
    • Files are not reused for any other customer or purpose
CONFIDENTIALITYNo customer logos, names or applications are published on this site. Every product image shows our own parts or our own equipment.
DATAMaterial certificates, dimensional reports and first article inspection are issued with the shipment when requested. State the document set on the purchase order so it is planned into inspection.

    Frequently asked

Initial engineering feedback within 2 business hours during our published business hours. That is feedback on the drawing, not the completed formal quotation or a full engineering review; where the drawing requires no clarification, the quotation follows the review.
No. The engineering review is part of the quotation process.
Yes, on request, and before files are transferred if you prefer. Files are treated as confidential by default.
Describe the part and the operating conditions in the message field. Where a sample exists, it can be measured and a drawing produced for your approval.
Yes. Paste the download link into the message field if the upload does not cover your file type.

Prefer to send the drawing by email?

Send it directly and state the material, the quantities and the critical dimensions in the message.
